Food diary: 17.1.17 – update on 13.3.2017

Update:

I’ve actually gone through 2 NMCs. The second one I’ve not followed as strictly – after my father’s passing on 12.2.2017, the motivation just isn’t there…

But surprisingly, I still lose weight..!! So there, once you’ve gotten used to the lower food intake, you’ll be fine. The urge to just eat anything just isn’t there anymore. Through 2 NMCs I’ve lost just about 2 kgs. That’s old age for you..!! But the good news is, my body’s reshaped and most importantly, my clothes fit better than before.

So, I’m just going to continue with the program, at my own pace & just see where I’ll end up. Better health & better quality of life..!!? That’s the goal..!!

 

Am Shake + 1 boiled egg

snack & lunch – sayur tempe/kacang with ikan bilis & minced chicken

sanck pm – 1 boiled egg

Dinner – 1/2 pita bread kebab
3L plain water

Food diary: 16.1.17

AM – shake + sekeping tompi

Brunch – kacang phol + sebiji telur

Lunch – sirap limau + sayur toge + tahu

Snack – air kotak lemon barley + 2 keping tompi

Dinner – sambal sotong + telur + sedikit kentang

Air dapat minum 3L saja hari ni

Food diary 15.1.17

AM – shake (F1 + susu strawberry + air)

snack – no snack coz i actually threw-up the protein shake that i had after aquarobics (kesan sampingan setelah bertahun tak exercise)

lunch – nasi satu senduk, ayam sambal + 1/2 ikan kerisi goreng (tolong habiskan ikan abah hehe)

snack 2 biji mini epal

another snack – half kepak ayam bakar (somi bawak balik wehh, kena la makan..)

Dinner – ikan kerisi goreng (yupp – tolong habiskan ikan abah jugak..!)

Food diary – 14.1.17

I decided to start a day early, so here goes the food intake for 14.1.17

9 AM Breakfast – NW,  Shake (strawberry F1 + sekotak  susu prods strawberry + some plain water

11.00 AM Snack – sambal tauchu + tofu

2.30 PM Lunch – ayam Goreng berempah (paha) + 5 cocktail sausages + air sejuk

Didn’t have any snack

8.00 PM Dinner – air barli, dim sum (prawn & chicken Siew mai – Kulit dim sum tidak dimakan)

In between, drink lots of plain water..

The coach said the calories are not more than 1000 cal, so that’s quite safe.. Yea..! Just need to drink more water…

Fat Loss Challenge – food diary..

Okay…new year, new challenge… I want to lose the kilos I’ve put on since I got back to Putrajaya…😏. So, I’ve joined my sister’s 21 days fat loss challenge – with Herbalife. 

It will officially start on the 15th January & ends on 4th February. Yea..!!  That’s just a few days before my Birthday, so a fat loss or even inch loss would be the best Birthday present kann?

My sister made some suggestions on the meal I should take (aside from the meal replacent shake).. But I want to make my own choices of food & I’m sharing it here as a food diary so I could look back on it & see where I went wrong or right..

Once u register for the challenge, Herbalife would give you a bottle of F1  & a nice T-shirt to be used for ourfitness program including aquarobics or Zumba.. 

 Bersemangat tgk T-shirt cantik tu..!! God please give me strength of mind to stick with the program..!! 😁

Keep a look out at this page…there’re already high protein recipes in this blog which I’m going to do & refer to during this program… I’ll just add on new ones as I go along…

Meatballs..!!!

Like many, I love eating the Swedish meatballs at IKEA. I decided to try making it at home so my sister can have a taste as well… Here’s my version of meatballs in creamy gravy…

Ingredients for meatballs:

  • About 400 grams ground beef
  • Half a Bombay onion – finely chopped
  • About 1 tablespoon parsley – finely chopped
  • I teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • A pinch of salt
  • A teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon oil + 1 tablespoon butter (for frying)

Method:

  • Mixed all ingredients except oil & butter in a bowl, make into round balls – you’ll get about 25 – 27 meat balls.
  • Heat olive oil & butter in a pan, fry the meatballs on all sides until cooked & set aside.

Ingredients for Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 beef cube or 1 cup beef stock (if you’re using beef stock, no need to add the 1 cup water)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • Pepper to taste
  • (No need to add salt if you’re using beef cube)

Method:

  • In the same pan, add 4 tablespoon butter
  • Mixed in flour until the mixture turned brown
  • Pour in beef stock (or 1 cup water + 1 beef cube) & cream – mixed thoroughly
  • Add Dijon mustard, worcestershire sauce & pepper
  • Salt to taste if needed
  • When sauce boils, put the meatballs back in – mixed thoroughly & turn off fire.

Serve immediately with mashed potato or pasta..

Kacang phol

Dah lama nak try buat masakan ni… Tapi takde resepi, google pun tak sure resepi tu sedap atau tak….

Ada kawan yg buat & upload kat Instagram dia baru2 ni. Kawan ni mmg pandai masak, org Johor lagi, so boleh dipercayai la resepi dia kann?

She gave me the recipe & I tried it – memang menjadi …!! My sister mmg suka dish ni, so she’s very happy now that she can have it at home. My father liked it too..!! Now that’s a bonus…


The recipe’s simple enough….nak balance kan rasa saja & agak susah rupanya nak dapat kacang parang dalam tin tu….tak semua pasaraya ada jual…

Cuba la….!!

– Mince chicken atau mince meat dalam 500gm

– Kacang parang dalam tin 1 tin

– Baked beans 2 tin

– Serbuk jintan manis 2 sudu besar

– Serbuk jintan putih 2 sudu besar

– Serbuk ketumbar 2 sudu besar

– Lada hitam ikut suka pedas atau tak. Tak letak pun boleh

– Butter untuk menumis

– Bawang besar, bawang putih – blend – gunakan dalam 5 sudu besar

– Lada hijau/cili api – potong untuk hiasan / tambah rasa pedas

– Limau kasturi / lemon ( untuk tambahan masam)

– Telur – goreng mata kerbau
Kaedah:

Tumis butter

Letak bawang merah n bawang putih yg di blend. Agak2 dalam 5 sudu besar

Masukkan mince meat

Setelah daging masak – masukkan kacang parang & kacang panggang tadi ( boleh diblend sedikit atau biar kan berketul – saya blend sikit)

Masukkan rempah2

Masuk garam

Gula ikut sedap rasa
Makan dengan telur goreng

Bawang besar potong dadu

Lada hijau atau cili api

Limau kasturi

Roti bakar sapu butter
